Vertical Line Shaft Mixed FlowPumps
Vertical shaft, mixed flow, single- or multistage pumps consisting of a discharge head, column assembly and bowl assembly. The bowl assembly operates submerged.
Vertical, mixed flow
Vertical shaft, mixed flow, single- or multistage pumps with closed impellers, consisting of a discharge head, column assembly and bowl assembly. On request, they can be manufactured with open or semi-open impellers. The impellers are balanced in accordance with ISO 1940 Class 6.3.
Vertical Line Shaft Mixed Flow Pumps are used for transferring clean or dirty lake, river and dam water that may contain solid particles and fibres, as well as industrial raw water.
Submerged bowl assembly
Mixed flow, vertical column design; for lake, river and dam waters and industrial raw waters.
As the bowl assembly is submerged, there is no suction problem at start-up.
Operating costs are low thanks to their high efficiency.
Provides ease of assembly and disassembly.
Mixed flow, single-stage or multistage design.
Mixed flow closed or semi-open impeller types are used.
Generally installed vertically; the discharge head may be above or below floor level.
Bowl Assembly
From the motor to the suction bell, five assemblies
Select a group to see its location on the pump and the parts that make it up.

VHS or V1 type vertical electric motor.
Carries the motor; the bearing assembly that takes the axial and radial loads is located here.
Delivers the pumped liquid to the pipework; shaft sealing is provided in this group.
Connects the bowl assembly to the discharge head; flanged column pipes make assembly and dismantling easier.
The section operating under water, made up of mixed flow impellers and diffusers.

Configuration to suit the installation
Discharge head position, drive type, lubrication and sealing are determined together according to the operating conditions.
Discharge head
The T-type discharge head is used at low capacities and heads.
Drive
The motor can be positioned on the discharge head or on the upper floor.
Lubrication
Column intermediate bearings are lubricated by the pumped water or by grease; as a special design, they are made with clean water or oil lubrication.
Shaft sealing
Selected according to the type of pumped liquid and the operating conditions.
Intermediate bearings
The intermediate bearings in the column assembly can optionally be made of bronze or rubber.
Impeller type
Impellers are balanced in accordance with ISO 1940 Class 6.3.
