Hydraulic Design and Efficiency Optimisation
Hydraulic design of new pump series and performance improvement of existing products; improvement of Q–H–η characteristics, reduction of hydraulic losses, cavitation and NPSH assessments, rotor–stator interaction and stage optimisation.
CFD Analysis and Validation
Evaluation of design alternatives using ANSYS CFX / Fluent-based CFD analyses, comparison of design and test results; hydraulic development towards MEI targets within the ErP framework, depending on the product scope.
Production-Ready Engineering Package
Parametric 3D models prepared with Siemens NX and SolidWorks, technical drawings, casting pattern and core data, manufacturing documentation, performance curves and, depending on project scope, test/validation reports.
CAE Structural and Strength Analysis
Increasing design reliability through stress, deformation and vibration analyses; stress, vibration and fatigue assessments of shaft, impeller and casing components.
Casting and Manufacturing Coordination
Conversion of hydraulic and mechanical designs into casting pattern/core and manufacturing data; technical coordination between pattern shop, foundry, machining and assembly processes.
Prototype, Test and Series Production
Comparison of prototype and performance tests with the design targets, validation of the product with the necessary revisions, and transfer of the validated designs to series production.
Prediction with CFD, validation by experiment
Comparison of CFD and R&D Test Results
Ansys Fluent · SST k-ω · 25.2 million cells · Impeller Ø264 mm · 2975 rpm. CFD with Gülich correction and test at the 300 m³/h operating point.

The curves are approximate values digitised from charts; the Ø260, Ø250, Ø230, Ø225 and Ø215 curves were obtained by interpolation between adjacent test curves. The CFD Test points belong to the case study above (Ø264 mm, 300 m³/h).

Controlled process, measurable results
Every project is carried out to a deadline-bound plan, with controlled design and approval steps from enquiry to data delivery.
Inputs and planning
Pump type, capacity, head, rotational speed, mechanical characteristics, intended use, special requests and the standards and codes the design must comply with are the design inputs. A design plan is prepared for each product and tied to the deadline specified by the customer.
Calculation and design
Hydraulic and mechanical calculations are carried out in line with the input conditions; the geometry and dimensions of the impeller, volute casing and, where fitted, the diffuser are determined, and strength checks are performed. A draft mechanical design is prepared on the basis of the calculation results.
Validation and approval
The calculations and technical drawings are checked for compliance with the design criteria, standards and customer requirements. Performance curves, cavitation and NPSH assessments, CFD and, where required, CAE analyses are compared with the design inputs; if the results are within limits, the project is approved.
Data delivery
Up-to-date technical drawings, 3D CAD data, bills of materials and performance curves are delivered to the manufacturer complete and under control; they are kept on record for revisions.
R&D scaled to your needs
We offer “R&D as a Service” to pump manufacturers in Türkiye, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa; we work on a project-based or ongoing outsourced model.
Project-based R&D
We work to a defined scope. The design plan is prepared at the start of the project and tied to a delivery date.
- A single impeller revision
- Performance improvement of existing products
- New pump series development
Ongoing outsourced R&D
Working as your factory’s engineering base, we lighten your technical workload; we provide continuous R&D support for the development of your product range.
- Product range development and revisions
- CFD and test comparisons
- Pattern shop, foundry and manufacturing coordination
From CFD to test: validated engineering
The value of an analysis comes from the right model, the right mesh, the right boundary conditions, and engineering that can compare the result with test data and interpret it. This expertise is built on more than 25 years of pump design and on the comparison of CFD and factory test results for more than 450 pumps. Hardware is the accelerator of this process: we shorten solution times by running our analyses on STUUX workstations.
